PUBG mobile has been introduced as an official competition to the Asian Games 2022 calendar. To select the champions of the popular battle royale game, events such as target shooting and racing will be held. The Asian Esports Federation has released the competition’s rules and will soon release the schedule. PUBG mobile is, at its core, a battle royale game. Surprisingly, such a game mode will not be included in the Asian Games. On the website, the competitions and their preliminary rules were written forth. The PUBG mobile esports tournament will feature a cross-country shooting competition.
A game will have 16 players divided into four-player teams on each side. The competition will be divided into stages, with each stage requiring the completion of a target shooting task. The teams would next drive their vehicles around the track to complete it. The order in which teams across the finish line would determine the rankings.
India’s participation in the event is uncertain due to the country’s ban on PUBG Mobile. Asian Games 2022 will take place in September 2022, however, no schedule has been released as of yet.
