Witch It really is a game of hiding and seeking. Although it is a small community, there is usually someone playing. Cosmetics crafting system. Witch is a unique take on the Prop Hunt genre, which was made popular by the G-Mod game mode. It’s a lot of fun with friends, but even if you don’t have any, finding somebody to play with shouldn’t be too difficult.
Since the alpha, we’ve been playing Witch It on and off. It’s our go-to game when we just want to relax and turn off our brains. Very unpretentious. It was a lot of fun. If you’re considering buying something after reading this review, keep the following in mind: The community is quite small. Although the game is not “dead,” as some may claim, you will seldom see more than one server active at any given moment. To fill a server, players from North America, Europe, and Asia frequently congregate on it. There is an official Discord server where you may find other players. Even with the limited population, we’ve never had trouble finding an active game!
This may be off-putting to some. Personally, we believe it creates a close-knit and welcoming community. When you play and form friendships, you meet familiar faces. When a new game comes out, we usually take a month or two off from Witch It, but we’ve never had any trouble finding games when we return!
Witch It seems to be a pretty simple concept: the Witches roam around the area and disguise themselves as various items found on the map to hide from the Hunters. Hunters throw pebbles, potatoes, pickles, and other stuff at these items in an attempt to locate the Witches. If they hit a Witch, the Witch will “squeak,” requiring the Hunter to kill her while she tries to flee. The Hunters will win if they can find all of the Witches. If you don’t find them all, the Witches will win.
Hunters have a few abilities that can aid in the search for Witches. Witches have a few abilities that help them avoid Hunters. The game is well-balanced and enjoyable. The quirky and delightful experience is enhanced by the art style, goofy sound effects, and character design.
Witch It also has a rather extensive character customization mechanism. The developers are extremely active, and they organize little events such as the Pirate Event, Halloween, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, among others. New outfits for Witches and Hunters are frequently released during these events. Players can both gather and craft these clothes as they progress through the game. This is fantastic because if a player misses an event, he or she may always make stuff from it later.
Now there’s an in-game trading mechanism as well. Players can trade cosmetics and crafting goods with one another, similar to Rocket League. A fairly active trading chat group exists on Discord. Check the Steam discussions for Witch It’s Discord details.
Overall, we believe that the Witch It game intrigues us since it demonstrates what people observe and don’t notice. And the goal of this game is to go unnoticed or to notice someone who is attempting to go unnoticed. We already have a few favorite techniques for several of the maps, as well as a few things we discovered by chance. It’s not a perfectly balanced game, but it’s a lot of fun for us. We wish it would reward you more points for taunting your enemies (since it reveals your location), but we still do it. If you’re caught while hiding, you’ll join the team that’s looking for you; there’s never a dull moment. It might be exhilarating to be hidden and watch enemy players pass by.
