The Call of Duty League has released the full calendar for the 2022 season, which includes four major events sponsored by four separate CDL franchises.
The Majors will be played over LAN at various sites around North America for the time being. However, because of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the league states that “dates and venues remain tentative.”
Three weekends of qualifying online play will precede each of the four Majors. OpTic Texas will host Major I, which will take place from March 3 to 6. Minnesota RKKR will hold Major II from March 31 to April 3. Toronto Ultra will host Major III from June 2 to 5, and the New York Subliners will host Major IV from July 21 to 24.
There will be a midseason break between Majors II and III, with an All-Star Weekend, a $100,000 Call of Duty League Warzone Pacific tournament, and a $250,000 Pro-Am Classic, before the regular season resumes on May 13.
The Call of Duty League Championship Weekend, which will also be played on LAN, will wrap out the season near the end of the summer. The CoD Champs 2022 dates and locations have yet to be announced.
The 2022 Call of Duty League season begins on Feb. 4, but players will compete in the Kickoff Classic event next weekend, which will feature all 12 teams, including the recently announced Boston Breach, for a $30,000 grand prize.
