Set out on a journey into a long-forgotten past, complete with a deadly mystery. Inside this game by Mad Head Games, play a deadly game of hide and seek in one of the most popular Rite of Passage hidden-object puzzle adventure games, which was released on July 8, 2020. Take on the secrets and lost puzzle pieces of Greystone’s icy village. As you sift through the echoes of the past, a unique story of sorrow and wrath will emerge in front of you.

Rite of Passage: Hide and Seek will take you to the sleepy town of Greystone. It used to be a wonderful area for any youngster to grow up, until one day, a group of kids started playing hide and seek. Soon after, a weird fog arose, engulfing everyone, including you. Despite the fact that you were just a small child, you managed to escape, but the fog took your brother and, later, your father when he attempted to find him. Now, 20 years later, you’ve decided to return to the same town and, no matter what, solve this chilly mystery. When you get in town, it is buried in snow and ice, and it is almost completely empty. Do you have what it takes to complete this immersive journey and uncover answers that have been buried for a long time?

Pretty decent game with a perfect length and a bonus chapter. We enjoyed the hand treasures in each scene, which added to the game’s enjoyable bonuses. The aesthetics are also extremely nice, with a good story, a good teleportation map, and entertaining mini-games and HOPs. However, we became upset with two of the HOPS. The coins that display the list of objects to be found are not accepted by the arcade game. It took a long time for the coins to be accepted after flicking them into the slots. We say flick because putting the coin directly in the slot would not function. The same thing happened in the second HOP, which was set up similarly. We were later working on the cable car puzzle. The game crashed every time we clicked the checkmark, and the cable car did not follow the arrows. It skips over the green arrow and crashes into the endpoint, never taking the course we planned. We purchased the collector’s edition and now we are unable to advance. Other users have reported issues such as the game freezing repeatedly during a HOP, forcing them to restart the game from the beginning and losing all of their progress. They even attempted to uninstall and reinstall the game, after which they began playing it again and got halfway through when it stalled on the same exact HOP, which was quite aggravating. Hopefully, the creators will address these difficulties and eliminate all flaws in future releases, allowing us to continue playing the game.
