Square Enix’s Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has already proven to be a smash with both players and Square Enix, and some fans are curious as to how many potential endings there are. Players can only reach one ending in Guardians of the Galaxy, which isn’t horrible. Guardians of the Galaxy is a highly linear story that leads players on a primarily rail-based journey, therefore numerous endings aren’t required in every game. However, the game’s numerous dialogue options may be to blame for some of the endings’ ambiguity.

In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, there are numerous occasions in which players will use the game’s dialogue options. Throughout the game, players assume control of Star-Lord, which means there are a lot of options to be made. Star-Lord isn’t known for being a quiet guy.
Players are usually offered a left or right option on the screen when conversation appears, signifying two quite different tones. As the squad proceeds through tasks and mazes, some of the conversations serve as filler or fluff. Other times, though, the dialogue options chosen by players have a real impact on the game.
However, when players approach the game’s final moments, that impact will not branch into the main story, and the conclusion will always be the same.

Is the dialogue pointless?
That isn’t to say that the rest of the game’s speech is worthless. There are times when the conversation you choose will completely change the game’s outcome.
To some extent, choice mattered in Guardians of the Galaxy, but not in the team’s closing minutes of the film’s climactic conclusion.
What effect does dialogue have on Guardians of the Galaxy missions?
While the conclusion will not change, side chat or interactions with antagonists can lead to completely different approaches to completing a mission.
One example is Lady Hellbender, who appears later in the novel. The crew will approach her and try to persuade her to sell either Groot or Rocket. Depending on who Star-Lord chooses, the negotiations can either go smoothly or quickly devolve into an assault. This will alter the outcome of the next mission as well.
In short, there are many options in Guardians of the Galaxy, but the final outcome will always be the same.
