For fans, the new game option Hazard Mode had been the subject of speculations and discussion. We now have a better understanding of what it implies. Hazard Mode requires players to obtain secret data, similar to Escape from Tarkov.
Hazard Zone has been the subject of numerous leaks and reports for quite some time. We’ve finally received official documentation explaining the new game mode, which looks a lot like the popular Escape from Tarkov.

After Portal and All Out Warfare, Hazard Zone is the third game mode in Battlefield 2042. You must salvage and collect data from satellites that have crashed throughout the map. You compete in eight teams of up to four players to collect crucial data. However, you must equally concentrate on carefully exiting the location. If your squad is completely eliminated, all progress is lost.
The new concept, which combines PvP and PvE, will include seven different maps to keep things interesting.

The teams’ firefights will be centered on the shattered satellite capsules. However, you must be in one of two extraction windows per match in order to extract the data from them. In Hazard Zone, success will be determined by talent, tactical preparation, and a dash of chance.

To complete the objective, at least one team member must survive and successfully evacuate with the data. Teams will be able to escape twice during the game: once in the middle and once at the finish. You will be left with nothing if you miss them. Players will get experience and specific in-game money for successful operations in Hazard Zone, which can be used to purchase enhancements for the following round.
