Two Point Campus, which was leaked last month, puts you in charge of creating your own university. The company intends to give players more flexibility over how they create the college of their dreams, building on the toolset provided in Two Point Hospital. For the first time, players are no longer limited to the game’s layouts when it comes to erecting outside structures. With only a few clicks, you can add trees, create bespoke pathways, modify ground kinds, and more. You can even construct dorms to provide each student with their own room or squeeze as many beds as possible into a single room to save money at the expense of student happiness (more on that later).
“We want to offer the gamers more control,” says Lauren Woodroffe, a senior U.I. designer. “There are so many different types of gamers here.” We have gamers that appreciate the creative aspect of the game but don’t necessarily want to engage in a deep simulation. Alternatively, we can have gamers that want to go deep and change the price of cheesy gubbins and hire the greatest personnel. We want to make sure that everyone enjoys themselves.”
As you progress through the game, you’ll gain more power over how you construct your campus. Despite the fact that objectives show in the corner of the screen, you can complete them at your leisure and in any sequence you like. This curated sandbox approach is intended to direct players toward enjoyment, but you are not required to make them your main priority if you do not choose to.
Two Point Campus, speaking of students, employs the (ideally) four-year college format to allow you to get to know your students (a.k.a. clients) better. Each student has their own personality traits, interests, and needs, and it’s up to you to keep them satisfied not only with the courses available but also with vibrant campus life. By introducing new clubs, organizations, and performances, you may provide your students additional opportunities to meet friends, form relationships, and do other things that will make them more likely to enjoy their time at your school and, as a result, remain for the entire four years.
Two Point Campus is a continuation of the Two Point County series, as previously stated. But what exactly does that imply? To begin with, it indicates that Two Point Campus and Two Point Hospital are located in the same general area. This is done to help the player base become more comfortable with the scenario by using things like repeating locations. Players of Two Point Hospital may also detect references to that game throughout the series, such as characters from that game appearing in Two Point Campus.
Two Point Campus appears to be a lot of ridiculous fun atop a good and entertaining college-management simulation. Two Point Studios appears to have learned a few lessons from its first tour, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else the studio has in store. Those who were unimpressed by the offerings of Two Point Hospital on console should have reason to be optimistic about Two Point Campus, as everything has been planned from the bottom up with both controller and mouse/keyboard in mind. In 2022, Two Point Campus will be released for consoles and PC.
