The history of hotel-themed Time Management games is quite rich. In the early days of the genre, Hotel Dash and Jane’s Hotel were the talks of the town. Recently, Hotel Ever After: Ella’s Wish also made some waves in the casual games world. Grand Hotel Mania is a mobile Time Management game from the Cyprus-based studio DeusCraft and it seeks to bring back some old-school Time Management magic.
For regular Time Management players, Grand Hotel Mania is very predictable. The game progresses level by level, with the main objectives asking you to serve customers and earn coins. You start by checking in guests and assigning them to appropriate rooms, then delivering requested items to their rooms, checking them out, and lastly, getting their rooms ready for the next guests. There are also often side-objectives that also need to be addressed in order to complete the level, for example not losing any customers or not discarding any items.
In terms of challenge level, Grand Hotel Mania is nicely balanced. Before beginning each level, you can spend coins and gems on upgrades, which are usually helpful. These upgrades don’t get delivered immediately, so it I important to time them strategically in order to make the most of these upgrades. As a free-to-play game, Grand Hotel Mania allows you to purchase more coins and gems in the store. While this is certainly not necessary, if you ever find yourself running out of currencies for upgrades, this is also an option.
There is a variety of hotels in Grand Hotel Mania. Each hotel has a different theme and different set of items to serve the guests and you can unlock a new hotel only if you pass a certain number of levels in the current hotel. Since the hotels are varied enough, the game does not get dull as fast as you might imagine. The game’s colorful visuals and playful animations also help to keep energy up and the atmosphere active. It would have been nice if there are more gameplay features or side quests, but the game is already fairly enjoyable as it is.
