Jeweller City’s annual competition turned deadly when a contestant resorted to the mysterious power from the infamous Dream Box. Now the city’s citizens are slowly turning into amber, including your own mentor! As a well-regarded member of the order, can you save your mentor and other innocent lives from this epidemic in Reflections of Life: Dream Box?
Despite some stumbles here and there, the Reflections of Life franchise is among one of the most consistent HOPA franchises in terms of quality. This brand-new sequel returns with another captivating fantasy storyline. Even though it lacks the sophisticated complexity that some of the previous installments had, it makes up with interesting characters and a convincing antagonist.
Reflections of Life: Dream Box also delivers quite a creative gameplay, with a good mix of familiar tasks along with some unconventional ones. GrandMA Studios also exercises every stretch of their imagination in service of the game’s fantasy theme, offering the player plenty imaginative elements to interact with. The game includes two gadgets; a mechanical owl that can help the player grab faraway objects and a vermin catcher that prompts a rather enjoyable mini-game. As for the hidden object scenes and the puzzles, they are not the most unique but still packed with a lot of fun and challenge.
Production is the one aspect that GrandMA Studios always, and I mean always, delivers. Reflections of Life: Dream Box features incredible visuals, ranging from intricate artwork and eye-candy location designs to glossy colors and impressive animations. The music is equally captivating, its ethereal tone is perfect for the mood of the game.
Reflections of Life: Dream Box has a standard length of four hours, with an extra hour of the bonus chapter. The Collector’s Edition comes with all the expected extras; a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, videos, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable mini-games, achievements, collectibles, and morphing objects.
Reflections of Life: Dream Box is a magnificent visual feast with a strong storyline and engaging game mechanics.
