You have just arrived at your cousin’s enormous castle for his wedding when you learned that a beast has attacked the castle and held all the guests captive. Living Legends: Uninvited Guests takes you into the twisted world of Beauty and the Beast – can you defeat the beast and reunite the bride and the groom?
The storyline of Living Legends: Uninvited Guests has a little bit of everything; suspense, thrills, romance, and fantasy. The game keeps propelling forward at such fast pace with plenty of action sequences and exciting twists. In addition, we like how the game provides backstory for all the main characters. Not only does that makes us feel more involved in the game, it also offers more context to the plot.
While Living Legends: Uninvited Guests does not reinvent the genre, the gameplay is excellent all-around. The adventure portion is not very challenging, but incorporates some creative tasks and interesting ideas. The Magic Mirror feature is also a nice extra touch, which contributes to the development of the storyline. Moreover, the hidden object scenes are highly interactive and surprisingly entertaining; the wide variety is also impressive. If there is one aspect that could be improved, that would be the puzzles. Although all of them are enjoyable, they are either too simple or too standard.
Living Legends: Uninvited Guests blows us away with its extraordinary visuals. The game features some of the most stunning scene designs we have ever seen. The amount of details in each scene is incredible, the color choices are impeccable, and the cutscenes are equally perfect. On the audio side, the soundtracks are pleasant and the voice-overs are appropriate, nothing over-dramatic.
We completed Living Legends: Uninvited Guests in around four hours, a typical length for a HOPA of this caliber. The bonus chapter is extremely satisfying, taking us over 80 minutes to complete. The Collector’s Edition is definitely worth the price tag, as it comes with all the bling imaginable. This includes a strategy guide, wallpapers, screensavers, soundtracks, concept art, videos, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable mini-games, some hard-to-find collectibles, morphing objects, and achievements.
