In terms of the story, Sea of Lies: Nemesis is a slight disappointment. Although there are few significant plot twists, the story here is generally weak. There is no major backstory and the main plot is not very unique or exciting.
Another notable step-down from Eipix are the graphics. We feel like the graphics in Nemesis are a little bit all over the place, sometimes the colors do not fit very well with the rest of the scene and we do not get the WOW factor we usually get from other Eipix games. The artwork is still nice though, there are a couple of beautiful scenes and the cutscenes are still very well-crafted. On the audio side, Nemesis is satisfying – great soundtracks, solid voice overs and excellent sound effects.
If you are an advanced player, Sea of Lies: Nemesis would probably be too easy for your taste. Anyhow, we truly appreciate the variety in the game. The game is filled with mini-games and puzzles, both minor and major ones. We love the puzzle within puzzle aspect of this game, the hidden object scenes are very creative and highly enjoyable as well as the puzzles.
Maybe it is due to the game’s lack of challenges, we played through this game pretty quickly in just under 3 and a half hour; another 45 minutes in the bonus chapter. Luckily, the game is fully packed with other extras – much more than anyone could have expected, check them out in the checklist above.
