Mysterium: Lake Bliss is a perfect contrast to the developer’s previous game, Fairly Twisted Tales: The Price Of A Rose. whatever the title of the game is, there is barely any ‘bliss’ in the game, it is a dark, murder-mystery game which is quite creepy in fact.
One of the remarkable aspects, and perhaps the only remarkable aspect is the game’s presentation. The graphics are crisp which feels a little artsy, all of the locations looks amazingly beautiful with gorgeous amount of attention of tiny details. The audio is also fantastic, the music is expertly composed with supported by equally good voice overs.
Apart from the presentation, Mysterium is an extremely so-so game. It does not do anything wrong but it does not present us with anything worth pointing out. The gameplay is easy and predictable, puzzles are not at all challenging and even though the hidden object scenes are nice, they are again, very ordinary.
Luckily, the length of Mysterium is at least long enough for a Collector’s Edition game. However, the extras included are very standard with Achievements, Collectibles and Bonus Chapter.
