We are sure many of you have already tried Blam! Games’s latest masterpiece, “Web of Deceit: Deadly Sands”! We recently got in contact with the developer to discuss about the process behind the game in detailed.
What is your inspiration to create Web of Deceit: Deadly Sands?
First of all, we understood that we are making a sequel that’s why we took the story of Morgana and its possible continuation as base. Not to spoiler we would say that we wanted to make less spiders than in previous part and focus attention not at Morgana but at another villain, very close to her. Also we wanted to create a desert world that fades away gradually. Against the background of this dramatic scenario our new hero comes to investigate this case by request of his uncle.
Why do you think Web of Deceit: Deadly Sands is worth playing? What is different about it?
We think that this game is an extraordinary story that opens step by step while you are deepening into the world of Transvaal. A dying desert world where strange accidents are taking place – this sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? All the rest you will see while playing our game.
What is the biggest challenge you faced when you developing the game?
The most difficult was to make a game about mechanical spiders with a minimum of spiders. We initially took a risky setting and understand that a severe strampunk story may be ambigously percieved by gamers in comparison with cute fairy worlds. Anyway you can never achieve success without risk.
How long it took you to develop the game?
We were developing the game for 10 months – the reason for it is that we are currently working at lots of other projects. Nevertheless we are satisfied with the result we got.
There are many amazing scenes in Web of Deceit: Deadly Sands, which one is your favorite?
We think that the Dead End scene looks nice and is very typical for the world of this game.
Are there any upcoming projects or sequels currently under development that you would like to share with us and the readers?
We always work at whole series of games. To show down a little we would just say that this fall Blam!Games is planning two more releases. Don’t miss them – each of new games will be worth your attention and will surprise even the most sophisticated gamers!
